OUR PRIVACY POLICY

This Privacy Policy explains the personal data Datanova Scientific LLC (“Datanova”) processes, how Datanova processes it, and for what purposes.  This Privacy Policy applies to all use of Datanova Data Unifier or Datanova Fusion Hub (“Software”).  If you do not agree to this Privacy Policy, do not access or use the Software.

1. Personal Data

Datanova collects data from you directly, and through your use of the Software.  This data may include username, password, email address, contact information, payment information, all communications from you to Datanova, software configurations, software interaction, logs, all of which are considered “User Data” herein.

2. Use

Datanova may collect, process, and use User Data for purposes including:

  1. Providing Software, to include updating, securing, and troubleshooting, providing support, and improving performance of the Software;
  2. Facilitating the processing of your payments;
  3. Monitoring metrics such as user patterns and equipment on which the Software is used; and
  4. Verifying your compliance with the terms and conditions of the Software End User License Agreement.

The legal basis for this collection, processing, and use is your consent and Datanova’s legitimate interests, including: (i) the performance of the Software purchased from Datanova; (ii) the proper administration of Datanova’s business and communications with users; and (iii) proper protection of Datanova against risks.  Datanova does not own User Data.  You hereby grant to Datanova a non-exclusive, fully paid, and royalty-free, transferable, sub-licensable, worldwide license to use User Data in accordance with this Privacy Policy.

3. Disclosure

Datanova may share payment information with payment service providers to process payments. The hosting company, such as Microsoft Azure, may have access to certain data.

Notwithstanding anything to the contrary in this Privacy Policy, Datanova may preserve or disclose User Data if Datanova believes that it is reasonably necessary to comply with a law, regulation, legal process or governmental request; to protect the safety of any person; or to address fraud, security, or technical issues.

Datanova will never share or sell User Data for marketing purposes.

4. Protection and Retention

Datanova will use commercially reasonable safeguards to keep User Data secure and will take reasonable steps to verify your identify before granting you access to your User Data.

Datanova may retain User Data for a commercially reasonable time for backup, archival, and audit purposes.

5. Updating User Data

You may change or delete User Data by contacting your sales point of contact at Datanova; however, this may affect your access to or use of the Software. 

6. Children’s Privacy

Datanova does not knowingly solicit or collect any information from anyone under the age of 16.  In the event Datanova learns that User Data has been collected from a child under the age of 16 without parental consent, Datanova will delete such User Data promptly.
